Data Center Operations Technician

Our client is seeking a Data Center Operations Technician to join their team. As a Data Center Operations Technician, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting the data center infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, proactive mindset, and strong technical skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Data Center Operations Technician
Location: Rockdale TX - Onsite
Duration: 12+ months with highly possible extension / conversion
Pay Range: $42 - $44 / hr. on W2

What's the Job?

• Rack and stack servers, switches, routers, and storage hardware in a physical data center environment.
• Perform cable management, power distribution, and hardware installation tasks.
• Support hardware deployments, moves, adds, changes, and decommissioning activities.
• Investigate infrastructure issues and assist with troubleshooting to ensure optimal operation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and secure data center environment, adhering to safety and security protocols.

What's Needed?

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience working in a data center environment.
• Experience with rack-and-stack activities, cable management, and hardware operations.
• Basic knowledge of IP configuration, networking, and hardware components.
• Ability to lift approximately 40-50 lbs and work safely in a physical environment.
• Strong documentation skills and ability to follow procedures accurately.
