Analysis Engineer

Our client, a leader in vehicle engineering and development, is seeking a Analysis Engineer to join their team. As a Analysis Engineer, you will be part of the Vehicle Dynamics department supporting the development and optimization of vehicle suspension and steering systems. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Analysis Engineer

Location: Auburn Hills, Michigan (Onsite)

What's the Job?

• Support CAE/virtual analysis activities related to steering and suspension hardpoint development.
• Analyze and optimize suspension and steering sub-systems' kinematics and compliance to improve vehicle ride and handling performance.
• Perform analytical assessments of steady and transient handling behaviors, including component load calculations for various handling events.
• Simulate ride events and characterize performance metrics such as impact harshness, vehicle pitch, and shimmy.
• Develop, validate, and own full vehicle and sub-system simulation models using tools like ADAMS/Car, NASTRAN, CARSIM, and others.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university.
• Experience with vehicle dynamics simulation tools such as ADAMS/Car, NASTRAN, CARSIM, and MATLAB.
• Knowledge of suspension, steering, and brake system kinematics, compliance, and vibration analysis.
• Ability to develop custom routines using Visual Basic, MATLAB, or ADAMS command files.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical information effectively to cross-functional teams.
