Application Programmer III

Our client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking a Application Programmer III to join their team. As an Application Programmer III, you will be part of the Market Risk Technology department supporting global risk management initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title:Application Programmer III

Location: Jersey City, NJ

Pay Range: $65-$67/hr on W2

What's the Job?

• Develop and enhance Python-based applications within the Market Risk Technology team.
• Collaborate with global teams to deliver high-quality risk management solutions.
• Implement object-oriented programming principles and design patterns to ensure scalable and maintainable code.
• Work with databases such as DB2, Sybase, and Oracle to support data-driven decision-making.
• Contribute to significant risk projects, ensuring timely and effective delivery in a fast-paced environment.

What's Needed?

• Hands-on development experience in object-oriented programming with Python and Java.
• Strong understanding of design patterns and best practices in software development.
• Proven experience working with databases such as DB2, Sybase, or Oracle.
• Experience working in high-pressure environments within financial institutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a team-oriented mindset.
