Logistics Specialist

Our client, a leading company in the consumer products industry, is seeking a Logistics Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate is a driven supply chain professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex logistics challenges, and excels at collaborating across planning, manufacturing, transportation, and warehousing teams to deliver exceptional business results.

Job Title: Logistics Specialist
Location: Hoboken, NJ (Hybrid)
Contract: 6 Months (extensions possible)
Pay Range: $30 - $37 hourly

What’s the Job?

• Execute deployment and distribution plans by creating and managing Stock Transfer Orders (STOs) across the Unilever network.
• Partner with Supply Planning, Manufacturing, Transportation, and Warehousing teams to ensure inventory is deployed efficiently and customer service targets are met.
• Own and drive key performance metrics including On-Time Deployment, Truckload Utilization, Stock Transfer Accuracy, and Cost Savings.
• Analyze logistics and inventory data, identify root causes of operational issues, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration around capacity planning, inventory management, scheduling, and master data accuracy.

What’s Needed?

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business Management, or a related field.
• 2+ years of logistics, planning, or supply chain experience within a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) environment.
• Experience with deployment planning, inventory transfers, DRP processes, transportation, or distribution operations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and continuous improvement skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with Power BI, SAP, Kinaxis, and enterprise logistics systems such as TMS, WMS, or YMS preferred.
