Our client is seeking a Data Engineer to join their team. As a Data Engineer, you will be part of the Data Support Department supporting Data Platform and Application Support teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and a proactive approach to technical challenges, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Montvale, NJ - Hybrid

What's the Job?

  • Support and troubleshoot complex data pipelines and applications to ensure seamless data flow and system reliability.
  • Lead technical initiatives related to Azure data engineering, including working with Azure Data Factory, ADLS, and Databricks.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformations to improve performance and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve data quality issues and enhance data processes.
  • Provide technical coaching and incident ownership to ensure timely resolution of issues and continuous improvement.

What's Needed?

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in application support, technical leadership, or data-platform troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure data engineering and Python programming.
  • Working knowledge of Databricks, PySpark, notebooks, and data transformations.
  • Advanced T-SQL skills, including stored procedures, functions, indexing, and query optimization.
  • Understanding of RDBMS concepts, data movement, reporting flows, and production support practices.
