Our client, a leader in advanced hardware and platform validation, is seeking a Laboratory Technician (General) 5 to join their team. As a Laboratory Technician (General) 5, you will be part of the Engineering Support Department supporting hardware validation and performance testing activities. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

  • Perform hands-on hardware setup, configuration, and maintenance of test platforms supporting CPU, GPU, and platform validation activities.
  • Execute power, performance, and thermal measurement plans to support product performance characterization.
  • Support lab debug activities, including troubleshooting hardware, firmware, and software issues.
  • Manage lab operations such as hardware inventory, asset tracking, and system configuration.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to validate fixes, run test plans, and provide detailed feedback on test results.

What's Needed?

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • 3-4 years of hands-on experience in hardware support, validation, or platform testing.
  • Strong understanding of PC system architecture, operating systems, drivers, BIOS, and firmware.
  • Experience with power, performance, and thermal testing in a lab environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
