Application Programmer III

Our client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking a Second Shift Level 2 MAPS Finance Risk Analyst to join their team. As a Risk Analyst, you will be part of the Chicago-based team supporting all Markets Lines of Business. The ideal candidate will demonstrate resilience, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: L2 Application/Production Support in Capital Markets or Front office trading environment

Location: Chicago, IL (Second shift)

Pay Range: $65-68/hr on W2

What's the Job?

• Serve as the first point of contact for business requests and assess reported impacts.
• Monitor and alert on critical trading system environments to ensure stability and performance.
• Implement releases and conduct post-release testing to maintain system integrity.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with business stakeholders, application development teams, and infrastructure contacts.
• Troubleshoot complex system issues and proactively identify problem hotspots for resolution.

• Experience working in high-pressure trading environments with resilience and confidence.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate restoration efforts effectively.
• Ability to rationalize the impact of multiple concurrent issues and prioritize work accordingly.
• Independent motivation to continuously improve processes and environment.
• Technical knowledge of operating systems such as Solaris, Linux, and Windows, along with scripting languages like Unix Shell, Perl, Python, and SQL.
