Transportation Planner

Our client, a leading company in the consumer products industry, is seeking a Transportation Planner to join their team. The ideal candidate is an analytical and process-driven logistics professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex transportation challenges, and can effectively balance service, cost, and operational performance while working cross-functionally with customers, warehouses, and logistics partners.

Job Title: Transportation Planner
Location: Hoboken, NJ (Hybrid)
Contract: 1 Year
Pay Range: Up to $25.00 hourly

What’s the Job?

• Manage transportation operations across the company’s factory network to ensure optimal service and execution.
• Partner with customers, warehouses, and logistics providers to deliver on-time service and resolve operational challenges.
• Monitor, analyze, and report on key transportation and supply chain KPIs to drive performance improvements.
• Evaluate transportation losses, identify trends, and implement solutions that improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Develop and communicate transportation insights and recommendations utilizing Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process enhancements and proactive solutions.

What’s Needed?

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 2 years of logistics and supply chain experience (or 6 years of relevant experience without a Bachelor’s degree).
• Experience supporting transportation, distribution, warehouse, customer logistics, or supply chain operations.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience using Power BI and PowerPoint.
• Comfort working with integrated business systems and operational data.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
