Spark Developer

Our client, a leading organization in the technology and data solutions industry, is seeking a Spark Developer to join their dynamic team. As a Spark Developer, you will be part of the Platform / Production Support / DevOps team supporting internal and external technical and support teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently, aligning successfully within a collaborative environment.

• Support and enhance production environments through troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Collaborate closely with business teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Optimize Spark performance and troubleshoot data quality and integrity issues.
• Participate in automation and process improvement initiatives.
• Work with middleware, scheduling tools, and scripting to streamline operations.

What's Needed?

• Mid to senior level experience as a Software Engineer in Platform, Production Support, or DevOps roles.
• Strong expertise in Spark development, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with ETL, Big Data (Hadoop), SQL, Unix, and Data Warehousing.
• Knowledge of scheduling tools, scripting, and automation practices.
• Excellent data and code analysis skills, with the ability to troubleshoot root causes effectively.
