Senior ServiceNow Security Engineer

Our client, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior ServiceNow Security Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Senior ServiceNow Security Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Cyber Strategy & Transformation department, supporting critical security operations initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive mindset, which will enable you to thrive in a collaborative and innovative environment.

Job Title: Senior ServiceNow Security Engineer

Location: Vienna, Virginia

Pay Range: $50/hour

What's the Job?

• Designing and implementing ServiceNow Security Operations solutions, including data models, workflows, access controls, and application configurations
• Configuring and managing ServiceNow Vulnerability Response and Configuration Compliance modules, including onboarding sources, setting assignment rules, and managing remediation tasks
• Integrating ServiceNow with vulnerability scanners and third-party tools, ensuring accurate data mapping and error handling
• Building automation workflows using Flow Designer, Integration Hub, and APIs to support routing, approvals, escalations, and remediation verification
• Collaborating with security, IT, and operations teams to gather requirements, run workshops, and align configurations with business risk and remediation strategies

What's Needed?

• 4-8 years of ServiceNow administration, development, or platform experience
• 3+ years of ServiceNow Security Operations or Vulnerability Response implementation experience
• Experience with vulnerability management lifecycle processes, including scan, triage, prioritization, and remediation
• Proficiency in developing ServiceNow JavaScript, including GlideRecord, Business Rules, and Script Includes
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology or a related field
