Fiber/Network Data Center Technician

Our client is seeking a Fiber/Network Data Center Technician to join their team.

As a Fiber/Network Data Center Technician, you will be part of the Data Center Deployment & Operations support team.

The ideal candidate will have a safety-first mindset, strong hands-on cabling and validation skills, and the communication confidence to coordinate work in active construction and operational environments.

Job Title: Fiber/Network Data Center Technician (MO)

Location: Marshfield, Missouri (100% On-site)

Pay Range: $35 - $43 an hour, based on experience.

What's the Job?

• Perform rack-and-stack installations of servers, GPU systems, Arista network switches, management switches, PDUs, and supporting infrastructure.
• Install, patch, and validate console connections, Cat6/Cat6A copper cabling, MPO/MTP fiber, and LC-LC single-mode fiber, including power connections.
• Support deployment and commissioning activities, including physical connectivity validation between compute platforms and Arista network switches.
• Complete MPO/MTP and LC-LC fiber patching and testing, ensuring accurate end-to-end connectivity and clean, compliant cable management.
• Troubleshoot fiber optic transceivers and physical layer issues (including strand swap, polarity, rolling pair, incorrect patch, and faulty transceivers) using tools such as Visual Fault Locators (VFLs), and resolve copper/network connectivity issues.

What's Needed?

• Experience working in data center deployment, operations, or construction environments, including hands-on rack-and-stack installation of servers and network equipment.
• Proven experience deploying and supporting Arista network switches and management switches.
• Strong working knowledge of GPU server infrastructure, including NVIDIA B300 or similar high-density compute platforms.
• Hands-on cabling and validation experience with MPO/MTP fiber patching, LC-LC single-mode fiber patching, Cat6/Cat6A cabling, console cabling, PDU power patching, and physical layer network validation.
• Ability to troubleshoot independently and use fiber testing tools (including VFLs) to identify and resolve faults, plus strong documentation and communication skills.
