Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid – 2 to 3 days onsite weekly)
Pay Rate: $55.00 – $65.00 / hour W2
Duration: 6–12 Month Contract + Long-Term Extensions

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical Technical Business Analyst with deep domain expertise in Fundamental Review of the Trading Book (FRTB) and Market Risk to support our enterprise Risk and Front Office technology initiative.
Operating within the US Basel III Endgame expanded risk-based framework, you will work closely with Market Risk business users, Front Office teams, and Technology architects to translate complex regulatory requirements into technical reporting specifications and data architecture solutions.
Key Responsibilities

FRTB Requirements & Technical Mapping: Lead business analysis and translate regulatory reporting requirements for the Sensitivities-Based Method (SBM), Default Risk Charge (DRC), and Residual Risk Add-On (RRAO) under the US Basel III Endgame framework.

Calculation Validation: Translate US FRTB mandates into technical reporting specifications; validate Standardized Approach (SA) and Internal Model Approach (IMA) calculations within the technology platform.

Data Governance & Lineage: Partner with Market Risk, Front Office, and Engineering teams to establish robust data lineage, ensure market data integrity, and guarantee reporting accuracy across risk systems.

UAT & Regulatory Testing: Design comprehensive UAT testing frameworks, reconcile risk calculator outputs against benchmark models, and support downstream integration into regulatory reporting platforms.

Hands-on Data Analysis: Utilize SQL and/or Python to perform deep-dive data analysis, validate risk sensitivities, reconcile calculator results, and troubleshoot reporting discrepancies.
Qualifications & Core Requirements

Domain Expertise (Mandatory): Hands-on experience as a Technical BA working directly with FRTB (Fundamental Review of the Trading Book) and Market Risk frameworks.

Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of US Basel III Endgame rules, SBM, DRC, RRAO, and risk sensitivities/market data.

Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in SQL or Python for data analysis, querying, data lineage validation, and calculator reconciliation.

Testing & Integration: Proven experience designing UAT frameworks, validating SA/IMA calculator outputs, and supporting regulatory reporting integration.

Cross-Functional Communication: Excellent capability to act as a bridge between Market Risk business stakeholders, Quantitative teams, and Software Development teams.
