Systems Debug Engineer

Our client, a leading technology and computer hardware organization, is seeking a Systems Debug Engineer to join their team. As a Systems Debug Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting Hardware Development and Platform Validation Teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a self-driven mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Systems Debug Engineer
Location: Not Specified (Travel may be required)
Pay Range: $80/hr

What’s the Job?

• Perform platform-level debugging of PC systems and computer hardware.
• Analyze issues involving PCIe, USB, SATA, LPC, and HyperTransport interfaces.
• Investigate BIOS, operating system, and driver-level interactions.
• Provide root cause analysis and technical guidance to engineering and customer teams.
• Support product development, bring-up, validation, and production release activities.

What’s Needed?

• Bachelor's degree plus 5-7 years of experience, or Master's degree plus 5 years of experience.
• Experience as a Hardware Designer or Systems Debug Engineer in a computer hardware environment.
• Strong understanding of x86 architectures, chipsets, and DDR4/DDR5 memory interfaces.
• Expert experience with JTAG debuggers, logic analyzers, and PCIe/USB/SATA protocol analyzers.
• Current USB standards experience and strong customer-facing communication skills preferred.
