Our client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking a dedicated and innovative Database Engineer 3 - Contingent to join their dynamic team. As a Database Engineer 3 - Contingent, you will be an integral part of the TCOO department supporting strategic data transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills, which will enable you to thrive in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

Job Title: Database Engineer 

Location:Charlotte, NC (On-site)

Pay Range: $50-55/hr. on W2

What's the Job?

  • Design and develop comprehensive Power BI dashboards and enterprise reporting solutions to support business decision-making.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources using APIs (REST/GraphQL), SQL, JSON/XML, ETL/ELT processes, and data connectors to create a unified data ecosystem.
  • Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, root causes, and actionable insights, translating technical findings into clear executive narratives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data connectivity, streamline data workflows, and enhance overall data quality.
  • Drive data transformation initiatives, including tracking agile metrics, identifying bottlenecks, and supporting the development lifecycle for product and AI tools.

What's Needed?

  • At least 4 years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence, analytics, or related fields.
  • Proven expertise in designing and developing Power BI dashboards and enterprise reporting solutions.
  • Advanced skills in SQL, data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration techniques.
  • Experience working within Agile, Product, Engineering, or Technology delivery organizations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to communicate complex data insights effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
