Product Manager

Our client, a leading organization in the chemical industry, is seeking a Product Manager to join their team. As a Product Manager, you will be part of the Applied Chemistry, Fine Chemical Products Laboratory Chemicals Division supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strategic thinking, strong communication skills, and a customer-focused mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Pay Range: $55-$58
Duration: 6 months

What's the Job?

  • Develop and implement product strategies for applied chemistry product lines, including salts, inorganics, metals, and materials.
  • Manage the full product lifecycle, including product discontinuation strategies to ensure seamless customer experience and revenue transition.
  • Drive revenue growth and profitability by setting prices, margins, and supporting sales, technical support, marketing, and operations teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand, develop marketing strategies, and identify market opportunities.
  • Lead development of product roadmaps, launch plans, and value propositions to meet customer needs and technological advancements.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in chemistry, with experience in inorganic chemistry preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of product management experience in a related field.
  • Strong financial modeling and data analysis skills to forecast and track results.
  • Proven success in launching new products and managing product portfolios.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills across diverse teams.
