Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a dedicated and innovative Senior SQL Server/Python Data Engineer – Capital Markets to join their dynamic team. As a Senior SQL Server/Python Data Engineer – Capital Markets, you will be an integral part of the Data Modernization and Investment Banking Technology teams, supporting efforts to enhance risk and capital management products. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, collaborative spirit, and a passion for developing cutting-edge data solutions that drive organizational success.
Job Title: Senior SQL Server/Python Data Engineer – Capital Markets
Location:Charlotte, NC (Uptown) – In-office presence required three days a week
Pay Range:$80-85/hr
What's the Job?
- Analyze and interpret Data Modernization strategies across multiple disciplines to develop innovative data solutions.
- Support the formalization of business requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications.
- Participate actively in Agile workstreams, utilizing tools like Jira to ensure seamless project execution.
- Create scalable capacity from an Agile perspective, optimizing workflows and processes.
- Develop and support risk management products within the current technology stack to improve usability and integration.
What's Needed?
- Expertise in SQL Server with a strong understanding of relational databases and data modeling.
- Proficiency in Python, including data engineering libraries such as Pandas, Polar, and Torch.
- Experience building distributed applications and working with micro-service architectures.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools like Git, Jenkins, and automation deployment toolkits.
- Hands-on experience developing RESTful APIs within an Agile development environment.
