Our client is seeking an early-career Systems Administrator to support the daily operation, maintenance, and administration of enterprise IT systems, applications, and infrastructure. This role is responsible for maintaining Windows-based environments, supporting user access and system performance, assisting with virtualization and cloud technologies, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring systems remain secure, reliable, and compliant with established IT standards and procedures.

Pay Range: $43/hr on W2

 

What’s the Job?

  • Perform routine system administration, maintenance, patching, software installations, and user account management across enterprise environments.
  • Support the installation, configuration, testing, and ongoing administration of servers, applications, and related infrastructure components.
  • Monitor system health, backups, performance, and capacity, resolving routine issues and escalating complex problems when necessary.
  • Implement and maintain security controls, access management, logging, and compliance with organizational security policies.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, collaborate with IT teams and vendors, and provide technical support to internal users and stakeholders.

 

What’s Needed?

  • Experience with Windows system administration, including Active Directory, user provisioning, permissions management, Group Policy, and routine maintenance.
  • Basic knowledge of Linux systems, virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud platforms.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with IT service management processes, ticketing systems, backup monitoring, patch management, and incident resolution.
  • Strong troubleshooting, customer service, communication, documentation, and organizational skills, with exposure to scripting tools such as PowerShell or batch scripting preferred.

 This is a contract to hire position.
