Our client, a leading organization in supply chain and logistics, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Logistics Consultant to join their team. As a Logistics Consultant, you will be an integral part of the Operations Department supporting the BDC/XDT Operations team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to operational challenges, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Logistics Consultant
Location: Mooresville, NC
Pay Range: $30/hr- $33/hr
What's the Job?
- Coordinate daily shipment activities from Bulk Distribution Centers (BDCs) to Cross-Dock Terminals (XDTs), including load planning, release timing, tendering, and trailer movement.
- Monitor order, purchase-order, and transfer statuses to identify and resolve exceptions such as late, missing, canceled, or early-received shipments.
- Partner with operations, transportation providers, and internal teams to resolve service disruptions and ensure timely delivery.
- Support special-order and customer delivery flows, maintaining visibility and follow-up throughout the process.
- Maintain accurate shipment, inventory, and exception data across transportation, warehouse, and reporting systems, escalating risks as needed.
What's Needed?
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience in distribution, warehouse operations, transportation, logistics, or supply chain preferred.
- Working knowledge of shipment flow, load planning, freight movement, and exception management.
- Ability to interpret operational reports and utilize data to prioritize issues effectively.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across diverse teams and functions.
