Our client, a leading enterprise in data center operations, is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to join their team. As a Linux Systems Administrator, you will be part of the Infrastructure Support team supporting multi-site data center environments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate resilience, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Linux Systems Administrator

Location: Austin, TX (Onsite)

What's the Job?

  • Manage and administer Linux (RHEL/Rocky) virtual machines across multi-site data center environments
  • Operate and maintain OpenShift container platform, including user management, workload troubleshooting, and cluster health monitoring
  • Support AVI Vantage load balancer operations such as virtual service configuration, pool management, SSL binding, and health monitoring
  • Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks for infrastructure automation tasks like user management, security deployment, OS patching, and SSH hardening
  • Coordinate hardware lifecycle activities including server management, decommissioning, and EOSL tracking

What's Needed?

  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise Linux systems administration, specifically with RHEL 7/8/9 and Rocky Linux
  • Strong knowledge of Ansible for infrastructure automation, including playbook development and vault management
  • Hands-on experience with container platforms such as OpenShift or Kubernetes, including cluster operations and troubleshooting
  • Experience with application delivery controllers/load balancers, preferably AVI Vantage or F5 BIG-IP
  • Familiarity with virtualization platforms and VM lifecycle management tools like ManageIQ or VMware
