Position Summary
The OneAutomation Platform & Migration Engineer is responsible for the installation, configuration, onboarding, and migration of OneA9tomation (Automic) workload automation capabilities
This resource will serve as the primary technical lead for OneAutomation migration activities, partnering with application owners, infrastructure teams, Linux and database teams, DevOps teams, and business stakeholders to ensure a successful transition of batch processing workloads without business disruption.
The engineer will own the end-to-end migration lifecycle, including environment configuration, application onboarding, workload discovery, migration execution, testing, validation, cutover support, and post-migration stabilization.

Key Responsibilities
OneAutomation Platform Installation & Configuration
• Install and configure Automic OneAutomation platform components within the FedEx Freight environment.
• Configure agents, execution queues, calendars, variables, notifications, security roles, and scheduling objects.
• Validate connectivity and integration between OneAutomation and enterprise applications.
• Support environment setup across development, test, and production environments.
• Coordinate with infrastructure teams responsible for providing server, database, network, and operating system components.
Batch Job Discovery & Assessment
• Analyze existing OneAutomation workloads residing within the FedEx Corporation environment.
• Inventory jobs, workflows, dependencies, calendars, notifications, scripts, and recovery mechanisms.
• Assess migration complexity and identify potential risks and remediation requirements.
• Define migration sequencing and application onboarding plans.
Migration Execution
• Migrate OneAutomation jobs, workflows, calendars, variables, and scheduling objects from the legacy FedEx Corporation environment to the FedEx Freight platform.
• Rebuild or optimize workload definitions where direct migration is not possible.
• Validate job dependencies and operational schedules.
• Execute migration activities in accordance with approved cutover plans.
• Support production deployment and hypercare activities.
Testing & Validation
• Develop migration testing plans and execution procedures.
• Perform functional, integration, and operational testing.
• Partner with application teams to validate successful execution of batch schedules and workflows.
• Troubleshoot failures, scheduling conflicts, and dependency issues.
• Ensure migrated workloads satisfy operational and business requirements.
Operations & Knowledge Transfer
• Support post-migration stabilization and incident resolution.
• Produce operational runbooks and support documentation.
• Conduct knowledge transfer sessions with operations and support personnel.
• Assist in development of OneAutomation standards, procedures, and governance practices.
Required Skills
Must Have
• Demonstrated hands-on experience installing and configuring Broadcom Automic / OneAutomation platforms.
• Proven experience migrating workloads, batch jobs, workflows, calendars, and scheduling objects between OneAutomation environments.
• Experience performing end-to-end workload automation migrations from legacy environments to new platforms.
• Strong understanding of enterprise batch scheduling and workload automation concepts.
• Experience onboarding applications into workload automation platforms.
• Experience troubleshooting OneAutomation scheduling, execution, and integration issues.
• Experience working within Linux and Windows server environments.
• Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across infrastructure, application, and business teams.
Preferred Skills
• Experience supporting divestiture, carve-out, separation, or TSA Exit programs.
• Knowledge of logistics, transportation, or large-scale enterprise operations.
• Experience with shell scripting, PowerShell, Python, or automation tooling.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Experience working within highly regulated enterprise environments.
Industry Experience Required
Candidates must demonstrate:
• Prior experience performing installation and configuration of the Automic OneAutomation platform in enterprise environments.
• Prior experience migrating jobs, workflows, calendars, and scheduling objects between legacy and target OneAutomation environments.
• Experience leading or significantly contributing to workload automation migration programs.
• Experience supporting mission-critical batch processing environments where operational continuity is essential.

Success Criteria
The successful candidate will:
• Successfully deploy and configure required OneAutomation components within the FedEx Freight environment.
• Complete migration of workload automation assets from the FedEx Corporation environment with minimal business disruption.
• Establish repeatable migration processes and documentation.
• Reduce migration risk through thorough testing and validation.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for OneAutomation installation, configuration, and migration activities throughout the TSA Exit program.
Recommended Manager (or equivalent) with demonstrated Automic OneAutomation implementation and migration experience.
