Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Manual QA Engineer to join their team. As a Senior Manual QA Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Quality Assurance department supporting the testing and validation of Point-of-Sale (POS) systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully within the organization.

Pay Range: 42 W2

What's the Job?

  • Develop, review, and execute comprehensive manual test cases for POS tax calculation functionality.
  • Validate U.S. sales tax calculations across federal, state, county, city, and special jurisdictions.
  • Test tax scenarios involving beverages, food items, merchandise, gift cards, and digital transactions.
  • Verify tax behavior for discounts, promotions, coupons, loyalty rewards, and tender-specific transactions.
  • Perform end-to-end testing across POS, payment processing, back-office, and reporting systems.

What's Needed?

  • Manual QA testing experience, particularly with retail POS applications.
  • Hands-on experience validating U.S. sales tax calculations and ensuring tax compliance.
  • Strong understanding of state, county, city, and district tax calculations, exemptions, and holidays.
  • Experience testing POS transaction flows including sales, refunds, exchanges, voids, and discounts.
  • Proficiency with defect-tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
