Software Development Engineer 2

Our client, a leading technology organization, is seeking a Software Development Engineer 2 to join their team. As a Software Development Engineer 2, you will be part of the Applications Development & Testing department supporting the Studios Quality team. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent collaboration abilities, and a passion for innovative engineering, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location:Redmond, WA

Pay Range: $39- $42 per hour

What's the Job?

• Design and implement scalable, maintainable, and well-tested data engineering solutions using modern engineering best practices.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity while ensuring high standards for code quality, reliability, security, and performance.
• Review, validate, debug, and optimize AI-generated code and system designs to meet project requirements.
• Apply core computer science principles such as data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and system architecture to solve complex engineering problems.
• Develop automated testing, monitoring, and quality validation processes for data pipelines and services to ensure robustness and efficiency.

What's Needed?

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in professional software or data engineering roles.
• Strong programming skills in C# and experience writing production-quality, maintainable, and testable code.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) to accelerate engineering tasks responsibly.
• Proficiency with SQL/KQL and designing data processing pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services such as Azure App Service, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Storage Accounts, or Azure Cosmos DB.
