Our client, a dynamic organization in the technology sector, is seeking a DevOps Release Engineer to join their team. As a DevOps Release Engineer, you will be part of the Release Engineering department supporting development teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate adaptability, strong problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Release Engineer (GitLab)

Location: Remote - USA

What's the Job?

  • Manage and optimize software release processes across multiple environments.
  • Support build releases and assist developers in troubleshooting build-related issues.
  • Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines, focusing on automation and reliability.
  • Perform basic administration tasks for DevOps tools such as GitLab, Artifactory, Jira, and Jenkins.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth deployment and release workflows.

What's Needed?

  • Experience with CI/CD tools like GitLab, TeamCity, and Jenkins.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
  • Knowledge of DevOps tools including Artifactory, Jira, Confluence, and SVN.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in both Windows and Linux environments.
  • Ability to work effectively during U.S. Central Time business hours.
