Our client, a leading organization in the optical industry, is seeking an Optical Technician to join their team. As an Optical Technician, you will be part of the Optical Department supporting daily lab operations and patient orders. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?
- Perform a variety of tasks related to daily optical lab operations, production, and patient orders
- Offer exceptional customer service by proactively communicating in a timely manner; call patients or vendors to communicate delays/issues with lens orders
- Order lenses and frames from appropriate lab or vendor based on vision plan
- Perform shipping functions including efficiently working with time-sensitive shipments and maintaining records
- Unpack and sort inbound frames and lenses to appropriate in-house trays or ship to external labs as necessary
What's Needed?
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- One to two years of relevant experience in optical or related fields
- Ability to meet department standards for productivity and quality
- Good manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods
