Our client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking a dedicated Desktop Support Engineer to join their team. As a Desktop Support Engineer, you will be part of the IT Support Department supporting a dynamic and professional user community. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Virginia, VA

Pay Range: $30-$36/hour

What's the Job?

  • Provide software and hardware support to end-users in a professional banking environment
  • Assist with administration of Virtual/Desktop/Laptop Management and infrastructure applications including VDI, patch management, encryption, and antivirus technologies
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, ensuring minimal downtime
  • Reimage user devices, back up and restore user data remotely and at user desks
  • Manage tickets efficiently using ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems, documenting all service events accurately

What's Needed?

  • 3-5 years of experience providing software/hardware support in a professional setting
  • Knowledge of server, Cisco technology, and experience supporting MS Office suite including MS Teams and Outlook
  • Experience with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), patch management, encryption, and anti-virus technologies
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
