Cryptography Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in the technology and security sector, is seeking a dedicated Cryptography Engineer to join their innovative team. As a Cryptography Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Security and Cryptography Department supporting the cryptographic discovery, PKI, and post-quantum cryptography initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, collaborative spirit, and a proactive approach, aligning seamlessly with the organization’s commitment to excellence and innovation.

Duration: 12 months opt to extend
Interview Rounds: 2
Rate: 70-72/hr W2
Location: Chandler, AZ preferred can also work out of Charlotte, NC or Irving, TX
Schedule: 3x on site per week, 2 WFH

What's the Job?

• Provide subject matter expertise in cryptographic discovery, PKI, certificate management, and key management systems.
• Support vendor evaluation activities, technical assessments, and proof-of-concept execution for cryptography solutions.
• Design, build, and execute proof-of-concept and pilot environments for shortlisted vendors.
• Validate cryptographic discovery coverage across certificates, keys, protocols, and related assets.
• Produce technical findings, architecture recommendations, and implementation plans for leadership review.

What's Needed?

• Experience with enterprise cryptography and cryptographic asset management.
• Knowledge of PKI, certificate lifecycle management, and trust services.
• Familiarity with key management systems and hardware security modules (HSMs).
• Experience with cryptographic inventory and discovery platforms.
• Proven ability to execute proof-of-concept and pilot projects, including post-quantum cryptography migration planning.
