SAP Master Data Support Analyst

Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP Master Data Support Analyst to support a large-scale enterprise initiative focused on creating, maintaining, and managing SAP Material Master data within SAP S/4HANA.
This role is heavily focused on Raw Material (ROH) Material Master Data, ensuring material records are created accurately, maintained consistently, and made available for use across global locations.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience creating and maintaining Material Master records in SAP S/4HANA and be comfortable working directly with Engineering, Product Specification, and R&D teams to gather and validate required data.
Key Responsibilities
SAP Material Master Data Management

  • Create, maintain, and update Material Master records in SAP S/4HANA.
  • Support Raw Material (ROH) setup and maintenance activities.
  • Review incoming material requests for completeness and accuracy.
  • Ensure master data is maintained according to established standards and procedures.
  • Perform material updates, maintenance activities, and data corrections as needed.
Stakeholder Coordination
  • Receive and process requests from Product Specification, Engineering, Design, and R&D teams.
  • Follow up with stakeholders to obtain missing information.
  • Work closely with engineers and business partners to resolve data questions and issues.
  • Escalate blockers and risks when necessary.
Reporting & Metrics
  • Track workload and operational metrics using Excel.
  • Monitor request volumes, backlog, completion rates, and turnaround times.
  • Maintain reporting related to project-specific activities.
  • Communicate status updates and workload trends to leadership.
Process Support
  • Follow established job aids and procedures.
  • Support process documentation and continuous improvement activities.
  • Help maintain traceability and consistency across requests and outputs.
Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of SAP Material Master experience.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Material Master creation and maintenance.
  • Understanding of Material Master fields and data structures.
  • Experience working with:
    • Batch Classes
    • Units of Measure
    • Material Attributes
    • Material Master Maintenance
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience tracking metrics and reporting using Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Raw Material (ROH) Material Master experience.
  • Manufacturing industry experience.
  • Healthcare or regulated industry experience.
  • Experience supporting global Material Master environments.
  • Experience maintaining process documentation.
  • Experience with backlog tracking, workload reporting, or operational metrics.

  • Owns requests from intake through completion.
  • Accurately creates and maintains SAP Material Master records.
  • Communicates effectively with engineering and business stakeholders.
  • Proactively escalates issues and workload concerns.
  • Provides accurate reporting and visibility into request volume and backlog.
  • Supports a high-volume environment while maintaining data quality and traceability.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is someone who has worked directly within SAP S/4HANA Material Master, understands how Material Master data is structured, knows where key fields reside, and can confidently work with stakeholders to gather missing information and drive requests to completion.
This person should be equally comfortable balancing transactional work, stakeholder communication, reporting, documentation, and process support while maintaining a high level of accuracy and organization.
