Application Architect III

Our client, a leading organization in the technology and infrastructure sector, is seeking an Internal Cloud Hyperconverged Infrastructure Virtualization Architect to join their team. As a Virtualization Architect, you will be part of the Infrastructure Engineering department supporting enterprise-scale virtualization solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to innovation, which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range:

What's the Job?

• Design and engineer the virtualization layer of the Internal Cloud Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) stack to ensure high availability and performance.
• Support lifecycle activities including upgrades, patches, and performance validation for VMware-based virtualization platforms.
• Collaborate with automation and platform teams to deliver consistent virtualization capabilities within the HCI build model.
• Develop and maintain operational standards, platform configurations, and engineering patterns for virtualized workloads.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure enterprise requirements for resiliency, operability, and automation are met.

What's Needed?

• 4-5 years of experience engineering or operating enterprise virtualization platforms in production environments.
• Hands-on experience with Linux workloads and infrastructure troubleshooting in virtualized environments.
• Familiarity with VMware virtualization concepts and hyperconverged infrastructure fundamentals, including compute, virtualization, and storage interaction.
• Experience supporting virtualization lifecycle activities such as upgrades, patching, and performance triage.
• Strong understanding of virtualization platform support for multiple workload domains, including containers and grid/batch processing.
