Datacenter Operations Lead

Our client, a leading organization in data infrastructure management, is seeking a Datacenter Operations Lead to join their team. As a Datacenter Operations Lead, you will be part of the Data Center Support team supporting infrastructure operations.  
 

Job Title: Datacenter Operations Lead

Location: Madison, WI

What's the Job?

• Oversee and coordinate daily data center operations, including server, storage, network, and middleware support.
• Manage incidents, service requests, changes, and escalations to meet SLA targets.
• Lead installations, decommissions, migrations, and capacity planning activities.
• Ensure compliance with operational, security, and audit requirements.
• Coordinate maintenance activities, patching, and infrastructure upgrades while managing vendor relationships and onsite logistics.

What's Needed?

• 5+ years of experience in data center operations or infrastructure support.
• Strong knowledge of server, storage, network, power, and cooling systems.
• Experience with incident, change, and problem management processes.
• Understanding of data center security, compliance, and business continuity practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
