Medical Billing Specialist

Our client, a healthcare revenue cycle management organization, is seeking a Medical Billing Specialist to join their Revenue Cycle Management team. As a Medical Billing Specialist, you will focus on patient accounts and collections, reviewing statements and EOBs, verifying balances, and supporting accurate, timely follow-up. The ideal candidate will bring strong medical billing and insurance knowledge, clear communication for patient account inquiries, and a detail-oriented approach to resolving unpaid accounts while meeting quality and productivity standards.

Location:Lake Mary, FL (100% onsite)

Pay Range:$25/hr

What's the Job?

• Review patient statements of account, including EOBs, to verify accuracy and enter required information.
• Support VAD Patient Collections by reviewing patient accounts, verifying balances, and following up on outstanding patient balances.
• Interpret EOBs (Explanation of Benefits) and use the information to resolve unpaid accounts efficiently.
• Assist with patient collections call queue activities, including outbound and inbound calls related to billing statement inquiries.
• Review patient credit balances and ensure account documentation is accurate and complete.

What's Needed?

• Strong medical billing and insurance knowledge.
• Experience with customer service and collections in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to interpret EOBs accurately.
• Previous experience working in a billing/customer service call queue.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to resolve account issues while meeting quality and productivity standards.
