Our client, a leading organization in the automotive industry, is seeking a Automotive Design Release Engineer to join their team. As a Automotive Design Release Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent interpersonal communication, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Automotive Design Release Engineer

Location: Windsor, ON - Hybrid

What's the Job?

  • Lead the design and development of transmissions, driveline systems, and components
  • Collaborate closely with teams such as CAE, NVH, durability, vehicle dynamics, packaging, and manufacturing to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance
  • Develop and execute validation plans, including component/system bench and vehicle testing, to verify performance and durability
  • Identify and resolve technical issues through root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques
  • Create, implement, and manage engineering best practices, including core DFMEA and DVP documentation for driveline systems

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive engineering, focusing on transmissions and driveline systems
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve technical issues and optimize designs
  • Knowledge of transmissions and driveline components such as Power Transfer Units, Rear Drive Modules, Gears, Bearings, and Torque Converters
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, adaptability, and a results-driven mindset
