Our client, a leading Semiconductor organization seeking a Validation Engineer to join their onsite team. As a Validation Engineer, you will be part of the highly technical Processor Validation Department supporting the silicon validation and debugging activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, effective communication, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully within the organization.
Job Title: Validation Engineer
Location: Austin, TX - Onsite Role
Pay Range: $40 to $42 on W2
What's the Job?
- Develop comprehensive electrical and functional test plans for processor interface validation.
- Execute electrical and functional test plans using hardware and software validation tools, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
- Debug electrical and functional issues for new processors to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Provide detailed input into platform definitions and review platform designs used in silicon validation processes.
- Offer technical guidance and training to less experienced engineers and technicians in validation planning, testing, and debugging activities.
What's Needed?
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with 0 to 2 years of related experience; or Master’s degree with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
- Experience in developing and executing platform-level electrical and functional test plans.
- Proficiency in debugging processor and PC platform I/O interfaces.
- Knowledge of oscilloscopes, schematic reading, and layout documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across engineering disciplines and management.
