Senior Technical Project Manager
HYBRID SCHEDULE IN ARDEN HILLS, MN (NOT REMOTE)
6+ month contract opportunity with potential of full time conversion

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Project Manager to lead commercialization and launch activities for LATITUDE software releases. This role will be responsible for driving complex, cross-functional initiatives from development readiness through successful market launch, ensuring that technical, operational, and business dependencies are identified, understood, and executed against.

The ideal candidate is a highly organized, detail-oriented project leader who is comfortable operating in a complex technical environment. This individual does not need to be a software developer but should possess strong IT and software acumen and be able to effectively partner with software engineering, IT, product, operations, and business teams.

Success in this role requires someone who can see both the big picture and the details—understanding how individual technical and business activities connect, proactively identifying dependencies and risks, and ensuring teams remain aligned on the critical path to launch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project management for LATITUDE software commercialization and launch activities, establishing clear plans, milestones, dependencies, owners, and deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain integrated launch plans that connect software development activities with downstream business, operational, technical, and market-readiness activities.
  • Identify and actively manage cross-functional and technical dependencies, ensuring potential gaps, sequencing issues, and risks are surfaced early.
  • Partner closely with Software Engineering, IT, Product Management, Operations, Quality, Regulatory, Marketing, and other stakeholders to drive release and launch readiness.
  • Translate technical plans and discussions into clear business implications, actions, dependencies, and decisions.
  • Facilitate technical and cross-functional discussions, ensuring the right stakeholders are engaged and decisions and action items are clearly documented.
  • Drive accountability across workstreams by maintaining strong visibility to deliverables, owners, due dates, risks, issues, and critical-path activities.
  • Anticipate potential roadblocks and proactively develop mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Establish and facilitate launch-readiness reviews and provide concise, executive-level reporting on overall status, risks, dependencies, and decisions required.
  • Support continuous improvement of commercialization and launch processes, identifying opportunities to create greater consistency, predictability, and efficiency across software releases.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation and ensure key decisions, assumptions, dependencies, and implementation plans are captured and communicated.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Significant experience leading complex, cross-functional technical or software-related programs/projects, preferably at a Senior Project Manager level.
  • Strong understanding of software development and IT concepts, with the ability to comfortably engage in discussions involving system architecture, integrations, environments, data flows, technical dependencies, deployment, and release management.
  • Demonstrated experience managing software releases, commercialization, product launches, or other initiatives requiring coordination between technical and business teams.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to manage numerous interconnected activities and dependencies without losing sight of overall program objectives.
  • Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify risks and downstream implications before they become issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical information for non-technical and executive audiences.
  • Strong stakeholder-management and influencing skills, with the ability to drive accountability across teams without direct authority.
  • Comfortable operating in an environment with ambiguity, changing priorities, and multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Experience within a regulated product development environment or medical device industry is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience; PMP or other project/program management certification is a plus.
