Sr. Software Developer

Our client, a leader in the higher education technology sector, is seeking a Sr. Software Developer to join their innovative team. As a Sr. Software Developer, you will be an integral part of the development department supporting collaborative and remote teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate adaptability, problem-solving skills, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Sr. Software Developer

Location: Remote

Pay Range:  $52.00 to $63.00 per hour

What's the Job?

• Design and develop new enhancements in the higher education technology sector using Java and Typescript on Node.js
• Build efficient, testable, and reusable modules to improve system performance and scalability
• Solve complex performance issues and architectural challenges to optimize application functionality
• Integrate a variety of data storage solutions to support diverse business needs
• Take ownership of existing build and deployment pipelines, ensuring smooth continuous integration and delivery

What's Needed?

• Strong understanding of modern Web Frameworks such as Express and Spring
• Experience with modern Web API design patterns like GraphQL and RESTful APIs
• Knowledge of fundamental design principles for building scalable applications
• Familiarity with Authentication and Authorization access patterns and protocols
• Experience working in a cloud environment, particularly AWS, with knowledge of CI/CD, containers, and deployment automation
