Lead Python Full Stack Developer

Our client, a leading technology organization, is seeking a Lead Python Full Stack Developer to join their team. As a Lead Python Full Stack Developer, you will be part of the Engineering team supporting backend services and full-stack application development. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and technical leadership abilities, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Lead Python Full Stack Developer

Location: Austin, TX (Onsite)

What’s the Job?

• Build backend services using Python, FastAPI/Flask, REST APIs, Pydantic, and pytest.
• Develop frontend features using React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and responsive web practices.
• Own caching & performance using Redis, async programming, and event-driven/CDC patterns.
• Lead and mentor developers, review code, solve technical problems, and guide architecture/standards.
• Drive delivery & collaboration through sprint planning, production support, cross-team coordination, and engineering process improvements.

What’s Needed?

• Strong Python: 3.11+, FastAPI/Flask, REST APIs, Pydantic, pytest.
• Frontend skills: React, JavaScript/TypeScript, responsive/mobile-first development.
• Caching knowledge: Redis, caching patterns, CDC/event-driven invalidation, async programming.
• Technical leadership: Code reviews, architecture, mentoring, standards, and risk management.
• Delivery & collaboration: Sprint planning, task estimation, production troubleshooting, and cross-team coordination.
