Our client, a growing consumer products organization specializing in Air Care Research & Development, is seeking an R&D Laboratory Technician (Air Care) to join their team. As an R&D Laboratory Technician, you will support product testing, laboratory operations, stability studies, and documentation activities within the Air Care R&D group. The ideal candidate will be dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a hands-on laboratory environment, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: R&D Laboratory Technician (Air Care)
Location: Montvale, NJ (100% Onsite)
Pay Range: $29 - $33 hourly
Job Type: Contract Position through end of year (extension possible)
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 9:00 AM-5:00 PM

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare samples and formulations for laboratory testing, evaluations, and stability studies.
  • Conduct routine product testing and assess product performance, functionality, and stability.
  • Collect, record, and maintain accurate test data, laboratory notebooks, and technical documentation.
  • Maintain laboratory inventory, order supplies, and manage SDS/MSDS and CoA documentation.
  • Support laboratory organization, equipment maintenance, safety requirements, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with R&D teams while supporting multiple testing projects and meeting project deadlines.

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Food Science, Material Science, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Laboratory experience through coursework, internships, co-ops, research projects, or industry experience.
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to follow laboratory procedures, SOPs, and safety protocols accurately and consistently.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently in a structured testing environment.
  • Experience with product testing, stability studies, consumer products, fragrance, household products, or personal care products is a plus.
  • Interest in fragrance evaluation and hands-on laboratory work preferred.
