Our client, in the enterprise technology sector, is seeking a Project Manager - Mainframe to join their team. As a Project Manager - Mainframe, you will be part of the IT Operations supporting mainframe migration and modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

  • Lead and oversee complex mainframe software migration projects, ensuring successful execution and seamless integration with business processes.
  • Consult with management and review project proposals to determine goals, time frames, funding limitations, procedures, and resource allocation.
  • Develop detailed project plans, monitor progress, and report on project activities, scope changes, challenges, and requirements to leadership.
  • Communicate effectively with internal management and client stakeholders regarding project status, milestones, and risks.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, implement best practices, and drive continuous quality enhancements.

What's Needed?

  • Minimum of five years of technical project management experience in enterprise environments.
  • Certification such as PMP or PRINCE2.
  • Proven knowledge of operations and project management methodologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience managing cross-functional technical teams, with responsibility for scope, cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables, including planning, tracking, change control, and risk management.
