Our client, a leader in food safety and microbiological testing, is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join their team. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be part of the Microbiology Department supporting food safety and quality assurance initiatives. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a proactive attitude which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?
- Carry out approved microbiological techniques and methodologies in a laboratory setting
- Prepare samples and perform analytical and microbial testing of food products, ingredients, and environmental samples
- Apply aseptic techniques to ensure sample integrity and accuracy
- Document sample preparation, quality control, and analytical activities meticulously
- Read testing results accurately and report findings in compliance with standards
What's Needed?
- BS in Microbiology or a related Life Science field
- Knowledge of aseptic technique and microbiological testing
- 1+ years of laboratory experience in a food testing environment is desirable but not required
- Understanding of ISO 17025 or GLPs is a plus
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and perform tasks requiring full dexterity
