Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Biology Project Manager to support customer projects within a fast-paced life sciences environment. This role combines biology/scientific knowledge, customer support, project coordination, data management, and commercial operations.
The Biology Project Manager will work closely with customers, Project Management, Commercial, and Customs teams to coordinate custom project quotes, review product and packaging requirements, maintain project information, coordinate invoicing, and provide timely project updates.
Recent college graduates with a B.S. or B.A. in Biology, Chemistry, or another Life Sciences discipline are encouraged to apply. Strong academic knowledge of the life sciences may be considered in place of professional work experience.
Key Responsibilities

Support customer projects from initial requirements through ongoing project coordination and completion.

Work with customers and internal teams to understand product quantities, packaging configurations, and fill-volume requirements.

Review orders involving milligrams, grams, kilograms, vials, milliliters, liters, and other standard and metric units of measure.

Match customer-requested quantities with appropriate packaging configurations and fill volumes.

Draft and maintain custom project quotes based on customer requirements.

Update project tracking systems and maintain accurate project and customer information.

Coordinate invoicing and support related commercial activities.

Provide customers and commercial teams with accurate project status updates and follow-up communication.

Collaborate with Project Management, Commercial, Customs, and other cross-functional teams to resolve issues and keep projects on schedule.

Utilize Microsoft Excel for data management, manipulation, analysis, and reporting.

Work comfortably across multiple database and project management systems.

Apply knowledge of biology, chemistry, cell biology, buffer formulation, and standard biological technologies when evaluating customer requirements.

Analyze information, identify discrepancies, and assist with problem-solving and process improvement.

Manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Adapt quickly to changing customer needs, business priorities, and processes.
Required Qualifications

B.S. or B.A. in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or another Life Sciences discipline.

2+ years of customer-facing experience within the life sciences industry preferred.

Recent college graduates with a strong Life Sciences academic background will be considered in lieu of professional experience.

Working knowledge of standard and metric weight and volume units.

Familiarity with biology, chemistry, cell biology, buffer formulation, and/or biological technologies.

Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data manipulation, organization, and reporting.

Comfortable working with database systems and multiple computer applications.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
