Senior Data/BI Developer

Our client is seeking a Senior Data/BI Developer to join their team. As a Senior Data/BI Developer, you will be part of the Data Solutions Department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Senior Data/BI Developer

Location: Ottawa, Ontario - Canada {Fully Remote}

What's the Job?

• Gather, validate, and translate business and technical requirements into functional and technical specifications.
• Analyze source data and develop data models, mappings, business rules, and data structures.
• Design, develop, and maintain Oracle PL/SQL and ETL processes to support data migration and archiving requirements.
• Design, develop, and enhance Power BI reports, dashboards, and related reporting solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data quality, governance, and reporting needs are met effectively.

What's Needed?

• Minimum of 8+ years of experience in Software Development, Data Engineering, or related fields.
• At least 5+ years of experience as a Senior Developer or similar role.
• Proficiency in data analysis, data modeling, and integration of multiple data sources.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle PL/SQL and ETL development for at least 2+ years.
• Proven expertise in developing business intelligence reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI for 2+ years.
