Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Mainframe Application Support Engineer to join their team. As a Mainframe Application Support Engineer, you will be part of the Application Support Department supporting critical business operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and a proactive approach to incident management, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location:Minneapolis, Minnesota (4 days a week on site)

What's the Job?

  • Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for mainframe applications in production environments.
  • Investigate, analyze, and resolve production incidents within SLA timelines.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to ensure system stability.
  • Support critical business events, deployment of releases, and production changes.
  • Collaborate with development, infrastructure, business, and operations teams to maintain application performance.

What's Needed?

  • 6-8 years of experience supporting IBM Mainframe technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of IBM z/OS, COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and CICS.
  • Experience troubleshooting production issues and performing root cause analysis.
  • Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams for defect fixes and enhancements.
  • Willingness to work on-site in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with some travel as needed.
