Our client, a leading organization in the automotive industry, is seeking a Vehicle Safety Performance Engineer to join their team. As a Vehicle Safety Performance Engineer, you will be part of the Safety Development Department supporting vehicle safety and compliance initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Auburn Hills, MI (Onsite)
What's the Job?
- Lead safety development activities for assigned vehicle programs to ensure safety objectives are met.
- Support impact script development, identify design enablers, and execute component and vehicle test plans.
- Support vehicle integration and validation by owning safety performance and leading attribute teams.
- Investigate vehicle issues, determine root causes, and document resolutions across multiple disciplines.
- Manage physical and component testing, vehicle build, pre-test preparation, and execution from concept through launch.
What's Needed?
- Strong technical acumen in vehicle safety and crash regulatory standards.
- Experience supporting safety target setting and vehicle level test plan execution.
- Ability to lead cross-disciplinary teams and influence design decisions.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel to Chelsea Proving Grounds as required.
