Rate: 65-70/hr W2

Enterprise Integration & Automation Engineer

About The Role
Our banking client is seeking an Enterprise Integration & Automation Engineer to design, develop, and support integrations across platforms, applications, APIs, and business systems.

This role is focused on enabling systems and data sources to communicate effectively within a large enterprise environment. The ideal candidate brings strong integration experience, API expertise, automation capabilities, and the ability to work directly with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

This is not a traditional application development role. Success in this position requires understanding business needs, connecting enterprise systems, automating processes, and driving solutions through complex organizational environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop integrations between enterprise platforms, applications, APIs, and data sources
• Build and maintain connectors that enable secure and reliable system communication
• Partner with business users to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Develop automations that reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency
• Consume and integrate REST APIs and other enterprise services
• Troubleshoot integration, data flow, and connectivity issues
• Collaborate with engineering and platform teams to support enterprise initiatives
• Document solutions, dependencies, and implementation approaches
• Communicate project risks, blockers, and status updates proactively
• Support Excel-based business processes through automation and integration solutions

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in systems integration, automation engineering, or related technical roles
• Hands-on experience developing API integrations
• Experience connecting applications, platforms, databases, and data sources
• Microsoft SQL Server / T-SQL experience
• Excel automation and VBA experience
• Power Automate experience
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and data exchange concepts
• Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions
• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a complex enterprise environment
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Python development experience
• Experience supporting governance, risk, compliance, or operations teams
• Financial services or large enterprise experience
• Jira and Agile delivery experience
