Engineer Level 3

Our client, a leading organization in security operations, is seeking an Engineer Level 3 to join their team. As an Engineer Level 3, you will be part of the Security Operations department supporting the security investigation and incident response team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, effective communication abilities, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Blue Ash, OH

What's the Job?

• Support day-to-day Security Operations, focusing on investigating security events and responding to complex security incidents
• Lead containment, eradication, and recovery efforts across endpoint, cloud, and identity-related incidents
• Serve as an escalation point for more complex security events and coordinate response strategies
• Develop and maintain security playbooks and runbooks to streamline incident response processes
• Communicate technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

What's Needed?

• Extensive experience in Security Operations, investigations, and incident response
• Hands-on experience investigating and responding to security events and incidents
• Knowledge of security alerts, detections, and security tooling such as SIEM/SOAR, EDR, email security gateways, and firewalls
• Understanding of security frameworks and ability to develop or maintain security playbooks
• Strong critical-thinking, problem-solving skills, and effective communication abilities
