Our client, a leading organization in the technology and security sector, is seeking a Software Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Software Engineer, you will be part of the Cybersecurity and Cloud Infrastructure Department supporting innovative security solutions and cloud-based applications. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully within the organization.
Job Title: Software Engineer
Location: Rockville, Maryland
Pay Range: $63-67/hr depending on years of experience
What's the Job?
- Design, develop, and maintain security tools and automated solutions for AWS infrastructure, applications, and workflows.
- Create internal applications, APIs, integrations, and automation scripts using languages such as Python, Java, Go, JavaScript, TypeScript, Bash, or similar technologies.
- Develop automated remediation solutions for common AWS security findings and misconfigurations to enhance security posture.
- Build and support secure web applications, backend services, and internal security products to ensure robust security measures.
- Evaluate AWS services, open-source tools, and commercial security products through technical testing and proof-of-concept development to identify optimal solutions.
What's Needed?
- At least five years of experience in software development, security engineering, cloud security, or DevSecOps.
- Strong programming experience in one or more languages such as Python, Java, Go, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Experience developing web applications, APIs, or backend services.
- Practical knowledge of AWS and cloud-based application architectures.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, source control, automated testing, and agile development practices.
