Our client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking a Lead Java Developer to join their team. As a Lead Java Developer, you will be part of the Software Development Department supporting critical banking applications. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

  • Develop, enhance, test, support, maintain, and debug enterprise software applications supporting business units and functions.
  • Collaborate with business leaders and architects to deliver innovative solutions that safeguard and optimize banking operations.
  • Lead or contribute to system architecture and strategic technical direction for various initiatives.
  • Coordinate with external teams to ensure timely and within-budget delivery of software projects.
  • Create prototypes and UML diagrams to illustrate current and future application states, ensuring clarity and alignment.

What's Needed?

  • Over 10 years of hands-on experience developing mission-critical, large-scale enterprise applications using Java/J2EE.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles and experience with Java frameworks such as Spring and Spring Boot.
  • Proficiency in developing RESTful services, SOAP Webservices, and working with Oracle SQL/PLSQL.
  • Experience with distributed databases like Cassandra and tools such as Maven, GIT, CI/CD pipelines, and Splunk.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and test-driven development practices.
