Our client, a leading organization in the industry, is seeking a Business Analyst to join their team. As a Business Analyst, you will be part of the Business Analysis Department supporting various operational and strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Business Analyst
Location: Jersey City, NJ (3 days onsite every week)
What's the Job?
- Gather and document detailed business requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and thorough analysis.
- Analyze current business processes to identify areas for improvement or automation, enhancing operational efficiency.
- Translate business needs into clear, actionable functional specifications for development teams.
- Support testing, training, and deployment activities for new systems or system enhancements to ensure smooth implementation.
- Facilitate effective communication between business users and IT teams throughout the project lifecycle to ensure alignment and clarity.
What's Needed?
- Experience with business analysis, requirements gathering, and process mapping methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of the software development life cycle and Agile project management practices.
- Proficiency in tools such as Excel, Visio, JIRA, or Tableau to support analysis and reporting tasks.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills to navigate complex projects.
- Business Analyst certification (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) is a plus but not mandatory.
