Application Programmer III

Our client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking a Java Application Developer to join their Fraud & Claims Technology team. As a Java Application Developer, you will be part of the technology team supporting fraud detection and claims processing solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills that will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Java Application Developer

Location: Addison, TX – Hybrid (minimum 3 days onsite per week)

What’s the Job?

• Develop and maintain Java-based applications supporting fraud detection and claims processing.
• Participate in application design meetings and contribute to development activities.
• Build and integrate solutions using Core Java, Spring, Kafka, and Cassandra.
• Collaborate with offshore development teams when needed.
• Support application development and maintenance with limited client interaction.

What’s Needed?

• 5–8 years of hands-on Java application development experience with strong Core Java and Object-Oriented Programming skills.
• Strong experience with Spring Framework/Spring Boot and REST/SOAP web services.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and Cassandra/NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Git/BitBucket, Maven, JUnit, TDD, and Continuous Integration.
• Experience with Oracle or SQL Server and exposure to cloud technologies; must not require sponsorship now or in the future.
