Our Technology client is seeking a Lab/test engineer to join their team. As a Lab engineer , you will be part of the Virtual reality team supporting several testing projects.

Pay Range: $42-$45/hr
What’s the Job?
Typical Day in the Role
• Purpose of the Team: The team is part of Windows, Cloud, and Experiences and is responsible for delivering cloud-connected user experiences. They support Mixed Reality initiatives across teams in the U.S. and Germany, including Mixed Reality Link, which enables users to stream their PC experience through a headset.
• Key projects: This role will support end-to-end product releases across Mixed Reality platforms and VR devices. Responsibilities include executing manual and automated testing, validating release quality, creating and maintaining test documentation, analyzing product performance, and ensuring software quality, usability, and reliability. The role will also perform ad hoc testing, triage user feedback and bugs, monitor release readiness, and help drive issue resolution. Success in this role requires strong ownership of release validation, proactive communication, and hands-on testing of immersive experiences and volumetric technologies.
Candidate Requirements
• Disqualifiers: Candidates who are not comfortable wearing a headset for extended periods (3 to 6 hours per day)will not be eligible for the role.
• Best vs. Average: The ideal resume would contain experience with Meta Quest, Volumetric SDKs, 3D content workflows, C#, C++, Kotlin, Android, performance testing, or low-latency systems. This is highly desirable.
Lab/Test Engineer with experience in Mixed Reality (MR) and Virtual Reality (VR) applications. The ideal candidate will execute manual and automated testing activities, validate release quality, create and maintain test documentation, analyze product performance, and ensure the quality, usability, and reliability of software across MR platforms and VR devices. This role requires strong ownership of release validation, proactive communication, and hands-on testing of immersive experiences and volumetric technologies.
