Data Scientist (AI/ML)

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a Data Scientist (AI/ML) to join their innovative team. As a Data Scientist (AI/ML), you will be part of the manufacturing support group, collaborating closely with teams dedicated to propulsions, software interfaces, production lines, and product quality management.  
 

Job Title: Data Scientist (AI/ML)

Location: Austin, TX

Pay Range: $66 per hou on W2

What's the Job?

• Translate manufacturing and business challenges into measurable analytical questions and use cases.
• Access, assess, and build reliable datasets from MES, quality systems, equipment historians, and other manufacturing sources.
• Develop and validate predictive and prescriptive models for applications such as downtime reduction, defect detection, and preventive maintenance.
• Create dashboards, visualizations, and reports to communicate insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Support manufacturing modernization initiatives, including cloud migration, automation, and legacy system retirement.

What's Needed?

• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in data modeling, data pipelines, and data analytics.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, Spark, and Databricks for building analytical datasets and pipelines.
• Strong ability to analyze messy data, perform statistical studies, and develop actionable insights.
• Experience in developing, validating, and monitoring machine learning models in a manufacturing environment.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States; no immigration sponsorship will be provided.
